Information for Massage Newbies

Welcome to the world of massage therapy! We are so happy you found us. As someone who has yet to receive a massage, not knowing what to expect can make you nervous sometimes. Hopefully, this information will help with that. Of course if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us. We will be happy to help.

Scheduling

You can schedule your appointment online or by calling or texting us. We do not have a receptionist. If we miss your call, please leave a detailed voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as possible! We operate in a shared space with Crossroads Chiropractic and Wellness Center. We take in-house sessions Monday to Thursday and take outcall sessions by appointment only.

Cancellation

When making your appointment, pick your desired day, time, and service. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. Don't forget your appointment! Please make sure to add it to your calendar. As a courtesy, a text or email reminder will be sent 24 hours before your appointment time.

No-Call/No-Shows

If you fail to show up for your appointment and do not attempt to contact us you may incur a fee. We have a 3 strike policy. We will overlook the first offense because we understand that life happens sometimes. On the second, we will reach out to you to figure out a solution. On the third, you will be charged for your reserved appointment in full. Exceptions will be made for emergencies.

Arrival

All new clients are required to fill out an important health intake form when they arrive. This helps the massage therapist to best accommodate you during your treatment. These forms can be filled out online ahead of time when scheduling, or you can fill them out in person when you arrive. Please arrive 10 minutes early to your appointment to go over paperwork.

If you see that you are running late, call or text us. If you are going to be late by 10 minutes or more, we will happily reschedule you for another time. There's no need to rush around and arrive stressed to your appointment when it can be avoided.

Treatment

Please refrain from smoking or consuming alcohol prior to your massage appointment.  If you regularly take prescription pain medication, please refrain from taking them before receiving your massage. Massage therapy increases circulation and can increase any effects that these substances may have on the body. If you are pregnant, we cannot provide massage treatments to you unless you are past your first trimester.
